So I suppose my story began back in January of this year. I had no appetite and wasn't feeling right. So I went to my doctor. She sent me to a endocrinologist and we went from there. I had a few nodules/growths on my thyroid.
So in the month of July it finally got determined that I need to at least have half of my thyroid removed and the small nodule is now the size of the peach. It took 7 months to get to the bottom of it. In that time it seems like my body has been falling apart. You might say it's not a good sign to know your way around the hospital. I've been there countless times in those seven months. I still need many more tests to be done and a surgery. All while working at the same time. During the seven months other issues have popped up like a growth on my kidney an aortic aneurysm they found in my stomach. I've also got swollen lymph nodes in my chest and stomach that they want to do more tests on. they also found a cyst in my brain that wasn't there when I was younger. So I'm going to get another MRI to see if it got any bigger. The headaches in the back of my head have gotten worse, but I'm hoping for the best.
I've had to miss a lot of time at work doing tests and appointments. Biopsys as well. Now I'm out of days and need a surgery where I'll be out for at least 3 weeks. Plus many more tests and days I might need to miss. So I'm reaching out for any help that can be given. I would truly appreciate the kindness of others in our time of need.
