UT Students for WC Security Guard

Donation protected
Early Sunday morning in West Campus (an area west of The University of Texas at Austin that many students reside), a security guard, Edward Earls, was shot in the foot while managing a threat against a fraternity house. He is currently undergoing multiple surgeries sustained while protecting his fellow coworkers and multiple UT students.

Earls began that night as if it were any other night. He came to work on time, actively made sure the area was safe, and always respected both his coworkers and UT students. Remaining calm after receiving multiple verbal threats from unknown men, Earls removed them from the property. About an hour later, Daniel Magee returned with two other men and a handgun. Magee then fired the weapon at Earls, who was unarmed and immediately injured. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge and is expected to recover fully. Unfortunately, Earls will not be able to work until he has recovered and deserves the funds necessary for him to continue his quality of life.

The men and women of West Campus are extremely grateful to Edward Earls for his courage and heroism. The security guards of West Campus deserve to know how grateful we are for their presence in our daily lives. If Edward Earls was not present at the time, the circumstances could have been far worse. Please donate to not only support him, but to show gratitude to those who protect us during some of the best years of our lives. Thank you.

Edward will be grateful for any donation, no matter how big or small. We thank him for his bravery.
