Emergency Lodging for This Family

Earlier this month, Eric & I helped a LOT of Syrian/Iraqi refugees who were/are stuck in Greece, and we couldn't have done it without your help. What we didn't expect is that near the end of our trip (after we had exhausted much of our funding) we would meet a family who would blow us away with their story. They didn't ask us for a single thing. But when you see a family in utter desperation (crying alongside a highway with literally nowhere to go but back to war-torn Syria), you have to act. Fortunately we got this family out of a highly dangerous situation in the military camp and into a hotel room, which we were able to cover for just over a week. In the last few days, we have joined forces with a small Spanish NGO to try to raise funds for a longer-term housing option for them (1 month or more). This will buy us time to expedite their relocation request to Germany, where they have relatives. Why the urgency? Their son has a serious medical situation, and they have been through enough -- from kidnappings, to losing 2 children, to being denied any form of food, shelter or medicine...we can't turn them away. Once again, I implore people to give just $10 or whatever you are able to help put a roof over their heads for a short time.  ALL donations made here will go to covering accommodation for this family.
