April's fight against Breast Cancer

On August 4th, 2016 the Hill family received the shocking news that April Hill has been diagnosed with breast cancer; a very aggressive form of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma.
April is a loving mother, wife, and educator at Borah High School in Boise, ID. Due to the timing of her cancer treatment, she is unable to work as the new school year begins, causing a sudden loss of income and making her ineligible to continue receiving her medical benefits ... all when she needs her income and benefits the most!
This is where we hope that you and this fundraiser can help. We are reaching out to our amazing network of friends and family for support; any donations`that you can provide will work wonders in helping April and her family sustain through these next several months of treatment and challenges.
April is scheduled to undergo a grueling medical treatment plan, beginning with 20 weeks of chemotherapy starting at the end of August. Following chemo, she will undergo a mastectomy in January / February. Then treatments of radiation, hormone therapy, and ongoing medications.
A few examples of what the funds raised through this site will be used for:
- Medical treatment costs (chemo, radiation, hormone, and other medications)
- Surgery
- Bills and expenses that will add up while April is out of work
- Any unanticipated costs that come along with this fight
If there are any funds collected that are ultimately not needed toward supporting April's battle, they will be donated to causes that help other women battling breast cancer.
