Dear Family and Friends,
My next adventure is just around the corner! In less than two weeks, I will be leaving for Malaysia for the Miss Scuba International competition! I can't tell you how excited I am to have the opportunity to represent the USA and be a voice for women in diving and ocean conservation. This pageant is a chance for me to travel the world advocating for some of my many passions including the ban of shark finning, using reusable bags to help endangered sea turtles and conserving energy to help reduce climate change. I want to inspire people around the world to care for the natural planet and teach them simple ways they can help make a difference.
With just about 10 days before I leave and a list of things I still need to do to prepare, I have come to the realization where I need to ask for your help. Preparing for this pageant has been much different than preparing for Miss America. I feel much less pressure but just as much excitement. I have been working hard to acquire different "wants and needs" for my trip, but at this point, I still have things to check off the list.
Here is a list of the things I would like to gather before I go. Some of these are "wants" and would be a luxury to take with me. Others are "needs" and are priorities for me to bring. If anyone has any of these things that I may borrow or knows of someone that is interested in sponsoring me, please let me know. I will gratefully take any cash donations so that I may purchase some of these items as well. Again, any support is so appreciated!
Wants:
Scuba gear- BCD, regulator, computer
Hard shell Travel luggage
Eyelash extensions
Polarized sunglasses
Needs:
Red pageant swimsuit
3mm long sleeve wetsuit (size 6 or small)
Spray tanning before I go/tanning lotion
A cushion of funds for travel expenses
I am putting this information out there to see if you or anybody you know can help in any way. I would be forever grateful and promise to return the favor someday!
