Denham Springs, LA Flood 2016

Hello, I am a cousin to Tina Truxillo.  Tina and her husband Dave and family, have lived in Denham Springs Louisiana for 20 years. Their property and home was nearly destroyed by the heavy rains and flooding that occurred on August 12, 2016 in Denham Springs.  Nearly 2 feet of muddy water (including sewage) invaded their home and soaked it for days.  After 6 days of waiting, they were permitted to see the damage and they are devastated.  They lost a car, all kitchen appliances, all kitchen items in the lower cabinets, food, furniture, linens, bedding, clothing, and irreplaceable, priceless items such as photos.  They are waiting for an assessment by the insurance adjuster to determine if the house is a total loss.  They were so fortunate that their family remained safe and unharmed during the flood. Their daughter, son-in-law, and 3 granddaughters have lost many items in their apartment as well. Any donation to help them get back on their feet is greatly appreciated.  The donated funds will be used to replace many items lost, purchase food while cleaning up their home and their daughter's home, and will help them to live while they are unable to get to work.  This situation has been difficult for them to endure, but they are very appreciative to those who have helped them in their community.  They feel very fortunate that their family remains intact.  God bless and thank you in advance for your help.
