Baltimore mom House Fire
It happened Saturday, August 13, at their home on Druid Hill Avenue.
Graham says, 17-year-old Michael was frying chicken tenders when the fire broke out. "I had stepped away to the bathroom real quick," said Michael. "When I got back, there was smoke and fire coming from the pan."
Michael, who was home alone at the time, said he threw water on the grease fire, which made the blaze worse.
He called 911. No one was hurt.
Still, there's trouble for Toya, who had no renter's insurance. "I'm not blaming Michael," Graham said. "But I'm angry."
The ordeal has moved Graham to tears.

Hi Tameka! I think it is absolutely awesome that you are doing this for Toya. I don't mean to offend in any way but is there a way that those of us that don't know you guys personally and would like to donate can be 100% sure the money is going to Toya? With the amount of scams that are taking place on these sites I really hope you understand why I am asking. My prayers are with Toya and family. I will be happy to donate as long as we can some how verify. I'll check back in the next day or 2 to see if you have gotten a chance to respond.
I am so sorry this happen to you we will be donating ... I have to say as for the ignorant person Brian Stringer who said she needed to be a better parent yes her son did riot but you know if you would read the whole story like the rest of us did she went down to where he was and beat his ass for rioting to NOW to me that is a good parent that didnt want her son involved in the crap that was going on dont be judging someone unless your hands are clean other wise that glass house will crumble !!!!!!
Brian Stringer... You're really going to bash a mom for NOT giving up on her son no matter what the circumstances? We need more mom's like her. It sounds like your mom gave up on you. I'm sorry you don't know what motherly love is.
Brian stringer shut the fuck up you don't know anything about this women of her family ! If you disagree with what's going on then move along ! Before you are gotten rid of
Jason , toya is my mom I'm her next to the oldest daughter
You know what? What's the worst thing that can happen if you donate a little money to help this family? You might lose $50 to a scam? Big deal; you're getting ripped off by your own government and a zillion other industries each day. If that happens, that's not your bad, it's theirs. However, what if you donate a few bucks and help a family that is truly in need? Isn't that more important than a trip or two to Starbucks? People really disgust me, especially like that Brian Stringer clown. He looks and sounds like a piece of trash, and has nothing better to do than degrade people in need. Perhaps if he cleaned up his act and got a job he'd have less time on his hands to judge and degrade others.
I'm so sorry you have to go through such an ordeal. But even more sorry for the hateful words you have to hear from these un Christian like people who have never gone without in their lives. I know some people don't have an extra $50.00 per month for insurance. God forbid they have to walk in anothers shoes for a day. God didn't put us here to judge, but to lend a hand or a shoulder. Be strong and keep your faith.
Women (and men) like Tameka are the ONLY hope for America. Hillary won't do Anything. The Donald won't do Anything. The senate, the house, the governor and the mayor won't do a DAMN THING except tell you what you want to hear so that you will vote them back into their cushy job. THIS is the woman (and parents like her) that will save America.
Why leave nasty comments..remember karma is a bitch
What is wrong with people?? If you can't or won't donate....and don't have anything nice to say...then just keep it moving!! Please
Toya stay strong, and your family will continue to be in our prayers. And to the three morons on here trying to belittle and speak negative of this woman and her family, shame on you. You don't know jack about this family, grow a pair and stop talking trash behind a computer screen, none of you are bold enough to step foot in her neighborhood. If your not donating or and any positive words of encouragement for this family... Fudge off!!! Bottom line. Can we blame y'all mothers for raising douche bag sons??? Next time, tell her ass to SWALLOW, so we don't end up with more of y'all. I'm talking to you David Smith, Brian Stringer, and Cranksta Gayngsta.
This Is Michael Thank You For All The Donation And Support I Love The Comments Thanks A MayGodBlessYou
Hello Tameka...I am donating because you cannot lose faith...people who don't know you are praying for you...you're a great parent and don't forget that...God bless...
People make nasty comments when there is no need fot it. Accidents happen and if you asked alot of people how to put out a fire their initial instinct would be put watee on it not realizing if its a grease fire you should throw salt on it. Hes a young kid and has probably learned a valuable lesson from this abouyt never walk away from the stove. I understandbprople also think renters vindurance is high. Its not. Its probasbly $100-$150 a year. I understand if you dont have the extra money fot it but people should at least get a quote to see if they can afford it because you see how devastating it can be if something happens. If you don't want to donate just move on. Thats your right. But dont leave a nbadty comment. Life is cruel enough without others adding to your misery
1st ur kid is trying to "riot" , 2nd ur kid is a drop out that was skipping job corps , 3rd he burns down ur crib ? get rid of him already ... or learn how to be a good parent , anyone who donated $1 dollar to you is an idiot ...
Here a woman who has lost everything and she's feeling broken, praying for her and her family and trusting that good will come out of this lost.
Glad you reached your goal! Keep up the good work momma. I hope i'm as strong as you when my son is that age. love and prayers your way.
Toya- you are a strong woman and our God will comfort you and help you in your time of need. Stay in the community of fellow believers to help keep you lifted up and your spirits bright. We all need fellow Christ followers to help us in time of need. We saw your story on the news back last year and said you go mom!! You are trying to raise your children right and teach them between right and wrong. I believe GOD will bless you for this. I know its not easy as we have raised 4 boys and it's not easy on them today to find their way-- and they need parents who are role models. We are making a donation for you to help in your time of need. Stay strong, even when your tired and feel like giving up or giving in. We will keep you and your family lifted up in our prayers. You go MOM and be that strong role model for your children!
I wish I could donate more. Im so sorry for what you and your family is going through. I believe there is more good than bad in this world. I hope you raise enough to move and replace most of what you lost. Good luck and God Bless.
Sending prayers your way it is so sad that people can be so negative when a human being is in need. Stay strong and I wish your family all the best ..
