Rent!

Hi! I'm Roger. I've been struggling for ten long years to get back into college to chase my dream of becoming a teacher- I've moved all the way across the country from Mississippi to New Hampshire chasing opportunities, and I've gone from one temp job to the next in this economy, never QUITE able to afford school. But this year, with a stable permenant full time evening job, after a decade of  struggle, I've FINALLY been able to sign up for classes that start in just a couple of weeks! I'm very excited.

But that's where my trouble started! I'd saved up every penny I could pinch to pay for all the application fees, parking fees, pencil pushing fees, and fee fees, with enough left over to purchase about half of the books that I need for classes (I was planning on borrowing and library hunting for the others). And all that money was sitting neatly in my account. But life has a way of kicking you when you're at your most vulnerable. 

I got a flat tire the other day. 85$ to tow it, 85$ to fix it. And the scrap car I've been planning to sell for the rest of the book money I need had be moved for another 85$, and stored for 75$ or it was going to be taken by my landlord. All in one day! These emergency expenses absolutely demolished  what I had been saving to purchase books, AND caused my rent payment to bounce.

Now I need 550$ to pay my rent as soon as possible, and I have no idea how I'm going to get it, and I have ZERO money to buy school books.

I can make it without the books, but not without a home. I have no other options and nothing left to sell but my blood- Please, donate whatever you can, and cross your fingers that my landlord will accept it and let me stay!

Every little bit means so much to me. I tried SO hard to make it on my own, and I'm crushed that I can't.. but I'm not too proud to ask for help. That's what community is for. Thank you so much for considering me!
