Robel Kiros Habte is an Ethiopian swimmer who was born in 1992 in Adama, Ethiopia. Habte holds the Ethiopian championship records in a 100m butterfly, 50m, and 100m freestyle.
My ambition is to give hope to young swimmers currently struggling; torn between their intense love for the sport and the prospect of leaving the sport and their dream altogether due to lack of guidance and facilities to train. My long term plan is to start up the culture of swimming in the country by trying to set up swimming pools in every neighbourhood and to make swimming a national favourite sport in the coming 20 years.
With this donation, I sincerely hope that people in Ethiopia will get the chance to train in a proper swimming facility that I was not able to receive.
