Brooke Campbell's Path to Recovery

Donation protected
On April 14, 2016, three students from Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, SC were struck by a vehicle as they were walking along Dorchester Road.  They were struck by a car traveling 57 miles per hour.

Seventeen year-old, Brooke was sent flying 30 feet and suffered a broken back and neck, six broken ribs, a brain injury, damaged lungs and abrasions from the impact and landing.  Her heart actually stopped at the scene and while undergoing emergency medical treatment.  Since this horrific day, Brooke was in a medically induced coma for a week and in ICU for six weeks.  She was on a respirator for five weeks and endured a 10 hour surgery on her back.

As a result of this accident, Brooke is paralyzed from the chest down.  She will need ongoing medical care, therapy and modifications will be required to make her home accessible.

Friends and neighbors of the Campbell family have set up this Go Fund Me page in an effort to raise the funds required to modify their home and to help offset their considerable medical expenses.

Thank you, in advance, for your generous contribution to Brooke and the Campbell Family.  Any amount will help to support them on Brooke's path to recovery.
