Our community (near and far- all those Nashira has touched) has been so blessed to know her. You can help make a difference! Help support one of our own!
Nashira Boyd was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Colon Cancer. She has been so determined and has continued to work despite receiving bi-weekly chemo treatments. She has such a big heart and an intense passion for helping people. Even while fighting cancer she puts others before herself. Nashira is by far one of the strongest women I know. This is not the first time that she has had to fight for her life, In 2015 she had complications during labor and coded during delivery. She suffered from an Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) and her heart stopped while her daughter was still in her. Because of the lack of oxygen, her daughter now has a Cerebral Palsy. We are lucky to have them both here today; and, if you ask Nashira about it, she will tell you that her daughter’s disability is a gift that was given to her family. She always sees the positive in every situation. Nashira was not ready to leave us at that point and is certainly not ready to leave us now. She is a true fighter. She is simply remarkable and faces every life challenge head on. Words cannot describe how much of an inspiration Nashira is to all of us.
I am asking for your support to let Nashira know that she is not alone in this fight and her family and friends are here to help. It is hard enough to raise a child with a disability let alone doing it while fighting cancer. She is blessed with an amazing husband and children that love and support her.
Although Nashira is not the type to ask for help, she will need all the support we can provide. For those of you that have not been affected by cancer, you are blessed, but it destroys a family's financial security quickly. Donations will be used for daily and medical expenses.
She has undergone two major surgeries with complications on the second one. She will then follow with the remaining chemo and radiation treatments.
Please donate as much as you are able to so that her and her family can know how strong and united we are to help one of our own!
