The Jack A. Jardin Memorial Fund
The Jack Jardin Memorial scholarship fund has been established to encourage others to follow in his footsteps of becoming a filmmaker. The intention of the fund is to be especially valuable to those Westwood High School students showing academic promise in their film studies and have the need for financial assistant to pursue a college education in this field of study.
We love you Doreen, John, and Isabelle.
Jack spent most of his high school years in the Video Production room at Westwood High School. A portion of the funds will allow structural improvements as well as new equipment for future students to experience and learn. The new “Jack A. Jardin Video Production Room” plaque will be displayed proudly.
A portion of the funds will also help to establish two scholarships and will be awarded to graduating seniors:
Scholarship 1: To a student who will be pursuing a Film or Fine Arts degree in college
Scholarship 2: To a student who has demonstrated kindness and who has been considerate, polite and selfless with fellow students, faculty members and the community
Each scholarship will be for $2,500 and will be awarded for as long as the funds exist.
Special thanks to Jessica Hennessey, Craig Orsini, Sean Bevan and MaryAlice Misuta for their time, dedication and their commitment towards honoring Jack and helping us to keep his memory alive.
Thank you also for the many kind words and the wonderful stories you have shared with us. We are all so very grateful.
Jack was one in a million and we will miss him every day for the rest of our lives.
John, Doreen and Isabelle Jardin
