"Alchemically Stoned: The Sprig of Acacia and the Psychedelic Secret of Freemasonry" is a ground breaking work by Freemason P.D. Newman, 32° which explores the ceremonial use of the powerful entheogen dimethyltryptamine (DMT) within Masonic ritual. The money raised will aid the author in publishing the work, which has proven far too esoteric for most mainstream venues.

The sprig of acacia is an important symbol within Freemasonry. But, unbeknownst even to the fraternity's own initiates, the acacia is rich in more than just symbolism. "Alchemically Stoned: The Sprig of Acacia and the Psychedelic Secret of Freemasonry" details the actual use of acacia-produced DMT by Alchemically-inclined Freemasons as early as 1762. It challenges everything we think we know about the history, nature, and aims of the Masonic fraternity.

With a foreword from Dr. David Harrison and an introduction by Clark Heinrich, "Alchemically Stoned: The Sprig of Acacia and the Psychedelic Secret of Freemasonry" will be an essential addition to the libraries of psychedelic enthusiasts and Freemasons alike.

Once the book has been published, donors who have given $100 or more will receive a free, inscribed copy of "Alchemically Stoned: The Sprig of Acacia and the Psychedelic Secret of Freemasonry."

"P.D. Newman's bold and daring theory provides a radical interpretation of Masonic symbolism. In the tradition of Wasson, Hofmann and Ruck, in 'The Road to Eleusis: Unveiling the Secret of the Mysteries' (1978), and Heinrich's 'Strange Fruit: Alchemy, Religion and Magical Foods' (1995), Newman suggests that practical psychoactive pharmacology, rather than philosophy, lies concealed in the root of some of our allegories and mysteries. Admitting to being more than a mere theoretician, Newman draws from his own personal experiences, and a wide range of sources, in presenting his theory in a logical manner, which merits consideration." -- Arturo de Hoyos, 33*, Grand Archivist and Grand Historian of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction
