Dallas Taylor Medical Bills
"Dallas does not have vision in his left eye and he gets worried because the right eye gets blurry. His lungs have issues so now he has an artery and vein that has come together. He has the carotid artery blockage also. He has a long recovery. This money really helps with expenses of Dr. bills and medicines that aren't covered. We don't know for sure that he is getting Medicaid . We are hoping he will." -Dottie Taylor
@Diane Denney With all due respect ma’am, I’m gonna answer your question as to How a Metal Band (like Dallas Taylor which is a member of) praises God or Jesus Christ. Believing in God doesn’t require you singing in a calm way or the other way around. Some have the talent to scream, growl, false chords (which Dallas Taylor have), and that is their way of spreading positive lyrics. Take listen to Underoath’s Act of Depression Album (Dallas is a former vocalist/founder of that band), I’m gonna share you some of its lyrics, “Turn, we have found a way to see, look up... feel the Almighty. Take control as we gaze into your eyes. We're just the tool you use to bring this world to you. Oh, Lord, how we love you with your grace, take away the hurt and the bruises inside, reach down let your glory reside.” “God my father, you are the only one that can give me comfort. You touch my heart in such a way that all I can do is cry your name Jesus Christ I love you. My heart aches for your love” That’s from their song A Love So Pure. Before you judge a band’s genre, make sure to know their lyrcial meaning, motives and background. Just because you don’t like the said genre, doesn’t mean they are DEMONIC/SATANIC. Cause ma’am, Underoath to be specific chages a lot of lives, every tour by them they kept on preaching how good the Lord is and how God let them escape from depression, drugs and problems. “This Music Is Not Of Christ- It's Demonic!! BUT that Said I Pray While This Man Is In This Situation The Lord Comes And Ministers Salvation To Him - HS Come And Reveal Your Love To This Precious Young Man” this comment of yours makes me sad. How come a Christian like you condemn other’s works? Doesn’t the church told us followers to spread love and not to be judgemental? I do hope this answers all your confusion regarding the Metal Genre itself, not every Metal Bands talks about satan or negativity.
Apparently even a man of God isn't safe from supposed "Christians" and they're hypocrisy. To even put out criticism at a time where his family is asking for help is despicable, and your god is most certainly disappointed in you. Spread love. Dallas, best of luck during your recovery. Here's to you getting back on your feet again and quickly.
I have known Dallas and his family for over 15 years. Dallas has the hugest heart and is one of the most kind person I have ever met. He use to give all his food to the homeless, always helping people with rides, never putting himself first, but always everyone else. Every break and lunch he would be reading his bible. His heart knows God, his soul is compassionate. He is funny, silly and sometimes crazy - He leaves us with an impression always that you want to spend more time with him. For those of you who can't say nice things, you don't need to comment, take it somewhere else. This is for a family - Dallas' family. He is a son who has amazing parents, he is a brother, a cousin, an uncle and mostly an incredibly Daddy. He has touched so many lives that wouldn't have necessarily been touched if not for his music. We are here for you Dallas - always.. xoxoxoxoxoxo
For Diane and anyone else questioning "metal" music....its 2016. God can't reach youth through strictly praise & worship. He uses what speaks to them, in their own language. He doesn't have a music type, and since the devil always wants our kids, we have to be open to this. Check out www.radiou.com
@Diane Denney, following is a link to a slew of different verses from the Bible regarding singing and shouting. http://bible.knowing-jesus.com/topics/Singing I have failed to see anywhere in any of these verses, nor do I remember reading anywhere in the Bible during my 2 cover to cover read-throughs and research...a condemnation of distorted guitar and heavy drums. In fact, there I remember it being written to "strike the timbrel". My point is this....just because you have a sheltered view on what Christianity is about, it does not mean the only way to sing praises is by joining in with a droning boring mindless hymn that you've been programmed to remember. Nor does it mean it has to come from a guy who works at summer Bible camps who only ever touched an acoustic guitar. God doesn't care how He is praised. In fact, this is an avenue of bearing witness to those who would never ever give the type of music you enjoy a chance. So instead of being concerned about how your neighbor is praising God, maybe you should focus on having a better understanding of what it means to do so, yourself. Clearly Dallas gets it better than you do.
Diane, I completely get it that you may not understand "heavy metal" music. I understand your knee-jerk reaction. Finding a way to deliver a message into an art form that may not be associated with it should be encouraged. It's spreading the word. Think of it like a musical missionary. Heavy metal is a style of music and, sure, it isn't associated with Christianity, but it CAN be. Just like Jazz, which isn't either. There are a surprising amount of Christian metal/hardcore groups. Growing up in a Christian household I was only allowed to buy music from the local Christian book store. I found Stryper there. An 80's metal band that competed against acts like Guns N Roses and Metallica. They spread a Christian message just as Barren Cross and Petra. There are also Cristian rap artists. I would say that it takes guts to publicly announce yourself as a Christian artist in the hardcore/heavy metal scene because, yeah, you may come under prejudice scrutiny, but Dallas and the rest of the band have gotten the message across and have been successful with it. That should be celebrated. I think it would be worse not to make your beliefs known and to fake it just to conform to the genre of music you love to play. After all of this I just want to see Dallas recover. He's given me countless hours of enjoyment with his music.
Wow... I wonder why judgmental people take the time to come here, where people are trying to do something good, and write negative comments and point fingers everywhere... If you see something you don't like, shut up, get on your knees and let GOD deal with it. Prayers for Dallas... Underoath was a great part of my youth and it helped me get through tough times.
Janice- Bingo!!! Boy You Sure Showed Your Heart By That Statement Young Lady!!
I'm NOT Being Judgemental At A Sad Time Like This - I Sincerely Wish Him A Speedy Recovery- Sometimes Though God Uses Situations Like This To Open His Eyes - Many Might Say- You Don't Know His Heart- God Does- You Are Right About That- My Question Is- How Does Heavy Metal Music Bring Glory To Jesus Christ? I'm simply Asking A Viable Question AND Does His Church And Pastor Condone This Music?
Praying for a full recovery. Hope you make your goal.
Just gave a little more and shared the update. Sending love to Dallas and his family. Keep fighting the fight. You have a lot of love on your side.
Diane Denney your comments don't have any place in this campaign how are you going to disrespect someone who is not good shape by your dumb remarks. If you didn't leave or a donation why are you even here?
So glad for Dallas, hopefully he and his family will not have to struggle with the medical bills for too long. Praying for a speedy recovery!!!
I should also say that I'm not a model Christian by any means, but I have seen and can understand where Diane is coming from. I think this just could be an opportunity to explain why Dallas has actually done WAY more than she thinks with his message.
