Will You Help Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home?

Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home recently received a very generous matching fund grant from local philanthropist Justin Neil, who serves on the Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home Fund Development Committee.
Justin has offered $1,500 in matching funds to help construct a gazebo in the courtyard of Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home so that the residents can further enjoy their time outdoors.
The total cost of constructing the gazebo is $5,000.
The Community Foundation of St. Clair County has also generously provided a grant of $3,000 for courtyard improvements.
In addition to the gazebo, additional courtyard improvements will be made to ensure the safety and security of Sanborn Gratiot residents. Those improvements include the purchase and installation of fencing and a sidewalk.
A total of $7,000 is being raised so Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home can graciously accept the matching funds grant from Justin Neil, and to offset any additional costs not covered by the generosity of the Community Foundation grant.
Blue Water Developmental Housing, Inc. is the umbrella organization that manages a number of homes and living arrangements for various vulnerable populations in the Blue Water Area of Michigan.
BWDH manages the Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home in Port Huron, Michigan. Sanborn Gratiot, established in 1944, is an assisted living home for low-income seniors, most of whom are women.
Over the past decade, BWDH has been instrumental in helping Sanborn Gratiot Memorial Home make numerous improvements to the facility.
