Gold Star Roses

Donation protected
Gold Star Families are families that have lost a loved one in combat while serving for the United States Armed Forces.

The Gold Star Family campaign started during WWI. During this time banners with a blue star were hung in the windows of families who had a loved one in the service. When a family member was killed in action the blue star banner was switched to a gold star banner. This was so that the community would never forget the sacrafice of the family. These families were known as "Gold Star Families".

Gold Star Roses was created last year in honor of these families. It is the mission of Gold Star Roses to grow and deliver roses to each Gold Star Family of the recent Middle Eastern Conflicts. Since 2007 over 7,000 U.S. men and women have lost their lives serving for the United States Armed Forces.

To each family Gold Star Roses gives a bouqet of 11 roses, one short of a dozen, which represents the loss of their loved one. The roses given to these families are grown and delivered by U.S. Veterans.

Since the start of Gold Star Roses in 2016 six families have been honored for their sacrafice.  In 2017 Gold Star Roses moved it's home to the Metro- Denver area of Colorado. Currently three gardens have been built by donations which will each hold about 20 roses.  The gardens and roses purchased for this years operation could not have been accomplished without the donations from the American people.

The number of Gold Star Families from these conflicts are high and continue to grow. It will be hard to honor all of these families properly with small scale operations but as Veterans we will get the job done with what we can however help is greatly appreciated.

Any donation will go directly to infastructure and materials to get the roses to the families.

For these families giving flesh and blood for our country we as the people shall never forget.

As veteran brothers and sisters to our fallen commrades, we will never forget.
