Omar Delgado - Pulse Responder
Officer Delgado was one of the officers that was inside of the club, while the shooter was still actively shooting. Since that night, Officer Delgado has continued to replay the events of that night and is having a hard time getting back to "normal." He is in need of specialized counseling that is not covered by insurance. He was gifted some sessions but that gift is running out. Due to the horrors that he experienced, he has had to step away from his normal day to day duties as a Police Officer. He continues to work but the income he is able to bring in does not allow for the counseling he needs to continue.
Please consider helping the Delgado family. All of the money raised will go to support Officer Delgado get the counseling he so desperately wants and needs.
I wish I could send "thank you" notes to each of you...please know that I am humbled by your generosity to Omar - THANK YOU. Please continue to share and if you need info, you are welcome to email me thru gofundme. I will do my best to respond as quickly as I can. Again, thank you.
Officer Delgado, I was the co-founder of PULSE. I am going to promise you that we will not let this injustice stand. We will all work as hard for you as you did for us that horrible night. Please don't lose hope, know that you have a community of passionate people that will not rest until this wrong is made right. #OrlandoUnited #PeaceLovePulse #OneLove #OnePulseFoundation #OlrandoStrong
I've reviewed the amount of contributions over even just the last half hour. I believe people will give from their heart after reading the latest update in USAToday. Have heart. Have hope. It will get better, and people are starting to reach out to help. The road less traveled is the hardest one; but Omar will not be left behind. He has already shown great, great worth and compassion. He will heal in time and the path will show more light than he could imagine. Stay strong, brother.
Has anyone considered earmarking 6 months of Officer Delgado's gofundme total to "donate" to the Eatonville police department specifically to pay his last 6 months salary? It's $19,250 if the Today article is correct. That would help him more in the long run, by allowing hime to get his pension vested at 10 years, than it would to give him a chunk of cash now. Regardless, this is a travesty and the Eatonville City Council and anyone else who was involved in the decision to let Officer Delgado SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!!! I also go so far as to suggest that THEY should lose THEIR jobs, based on lack of empathy at a minimum and perhaps just being stupid - at worst.
Hello, please contact Dr. Eugene Lipov. Dr. Eugene Lipov, who is using an injection called a stellate ganglion block to treat PTSD. Officer Delgado, i can't give right now but wanted to let you know I am praying for your recovery. I am a disabled US Military veteran (Service Connected). You CAN overcome the things that refuse to leave your mind. The Lord can help you brother. I pray His peace over your heart and mind. God Bless.
Officer Delgado, Please reach out to me or have your wife do so. I am the spouse of a First Responder who was also diagnosed last year. I truly understand what both of you are going through, that only those of us who are living it know, especially at home. I have a professional mental health background coupled with my first hand experience. Please feel free to extend my invitation to your wife as she needs it as much as you do. Together you will be able to navigate this journey if you are both part of the equation. Priority is to keep you all together for the long haul.
I want to express my appreciation for your generosity in support of my brother. Your donation is incredibly helpful and is allowing us to reach the goal. Your generosity means so much to me but even more to my older brother Omar Delgado and his family. Thank you from all of us.
