SOULMUCH needs a kitchen
Hello friends, family, and future friends!
As you may or may not know we have created a business that has found a solution that rescues all the excess grains that large volume restaurants tend to have every night and convert it into healthy snacks such as cookies.
We have operated our first year of business out of a commercial kitchen, selling at local farmers markets. In less than year, we have recovered over 5,000 pounds of food and do not plan on stopping there! We want to continue to grow this business and rescue more food. In order to do so, we must amp up our production, which means we need to get into a new kitchen space.
We finally found a kitchen here in San Diego! Finding a reasonable priced vacant kitchen in San Diego is harder to find than spotting a unicorn! We are in love with this space and it is right next to our university. However, every rose has its thorns and it comes with a price tag. Because our business operates with special equipment such as: dehydrators, mixers, and milling machines, we are fundraising money to help us make the initial purchase.
Every contribution helps and is working towards reducing more food that is being wasted and helping this business grow.
Our mission is SOULMUCH greater than just cookies. We want to build an educational campaign around food waste. We hope to inspire people and companies that working on environmental issues CAN be profitable and does not have to be so complex. Often, the best solutions are the simplest ones.
