Geri Velko Cancer Battle Fund

Hi, my name is Nick Bomben. I am a very close friend of Laurie Sojak. Laurie is Geri's daughter and is the most caring, amazing daughter and person you can come across. You can pretty much ask anyone that has come into contact with Laurie and they will completely agree! Laurie has been there for me a thousand times when I've needed a friend. She goes above and beyond for anyone in her life! This last year has been incredibly tough on her and her family. Her dad was diagnosed with cancer 4/29/15 and passed away less than a month later. She had a very difficult time with this as they were very very close. She decided to move to Chicago to be close to her mother. Her mother was in good health so they thought. Geri was diagnosed with lung cancer early April of this year. They have been trying to come up with money for medical treatment as insurance isn't providing enough. The Chemo was 99.9% effective but now Geri is battling a brain tumor. This family just needs help at this point! I am hoping that everyone that reads this and knows Laurie and her family can spare as much as possible to help them with their financial struggle.
