Yoga Teacher Training

When you find something that makes your inner flame burn a little brighter you hold on to it, develop it, share it.... and that is what Bikram yoga has done for me; it has sparked something inside of me and has been the catalyst to me growing as a person.

I began my practice in April of last year and have practiced nearly everyday, sometimes more than once a day. It is never a question of if I want to go, I'm just silently drawn to go each day. At first I noticed changes in sleeping, as in I slept more than 4-6hrs, and it was more restful. The shoulder pain I had from years of playing volleyball went away. The development of the mind is where I have found the most benefit. Learning to focus, let things just be without judgement, creating stillness among chaos, and overall mindfulness inside and outside the studio.

After being asked by many people and wondering myself I have finally decided to take the leap to become a teacher. This is a huge step out of my comfort zone; being willing to get in front of a group of people, stand on a podium, and lead others for 90 minutes. But that is what this practice does, it helps you face your fears and grow (it also helps to have awesome fellow yogi's at BYCA who give so much encouragement, support and love).
