Karen West's Cancer Journey

Karen West has simply been through too much heartbreak in the past few years.  Soon after losing her beloved sixteen year old daughter, Quinn, in a tragic traffic accident, Karen was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma skin cancer.  Through her grief, Karen has waged a brave battle against her disease. Despite having undergone a multitude of surgeries, radiation therapy and various prescription drug treatments, modern medicine isn’t strong enough to heal her. With no further treatment options available, Karen's doctors say she doesn't have much time left.
In her final days, Karen is focusing all of her efforts and energies on her family, making sure they know how much she loves them. This includes trying to help Catherine, now a high school senior, come to terms with the finality that awaits.
