Writer's Conference

A year ago I took a new job and moved away from home. One of the benefits of this is I was able to get more involved with an amazing organization of writers. On the second weekend of August The Willamette Writer's hold an amazing conference in Portland and for the past six months it has been my goal to attend.
However, the past six months have also dealt some pretty serious curveballs financially and as the deadline to register draws closer I find myself unable to meet that goal.
I have done everything I can to minimize the cost of the conference. I am volunteering to cut the registration cost. I am carpooling with friends to cut down on gas and staying with other friends to remove hotel bills. Unfortunately, with the deadline in two weeks, it simply is not something I can do on my own.
To those who can help me continue to work towards the goal of being an author thank you! Someday you'll see your name in the acknowledgements.
