Dowdy Ferry Surveillance Cameras
Donation protected
The Dowdy Ferry Crew has been patrolling the Dowdy Ferry area of Southern Dallas since August 2015. Since that time we have counted nearly 150 dead dumped animals. Most of these animals are dogs that have been put into garbage bags and dumped along roadways in the same exact locations month after month. In addition to the dead animals, there are nearly 1,000 live animals dumped in this area every year and left to fend for themselves in the wild.
Despite our best efforts and the assistance of law enforcement and local residents we have been unable to positively identify an animal dumper.
We need surveillance cameras to help us identify the people doing this to our animals. The cameras used by our City Marshal are $1200/each. We have identified four popular dumping locations and we want to put two cameras at each location. Total: $9,600
