Miles Robinson Memorial Fund

My dear friend, coworker, and confidant Kai has lost her husband and soul mate to a bicycle accident.  All of us are heartbroken and want to do all we can to help Kai and her family in this time of need.  Kai is the type of person who everyone feels they can count on regardless of how small or big the problem.  We all know that she will listen, give excellent advice, and be a shoulder to cry on without judgement or guilt. This time it is she that needs our support and help.  Please consider making a donation to this memorial fund. The Robinson family is humbled and grateful for all the wonderful messages and outpouring of love.  Lets help ease the burden of financial stress that comes with such a tragic event. Here is a brief note posted the day Kai, Hannah, and Jack had to say goodbye to Miles, the wonderful husband, father, and friend to many:

"I met my best friend and life companion in 1979 when I showed up at the youth hostel in Portland, OR to ride my bike across the United States. Miles and I were married in 1982 and the bicycle has been there with us all along. Yesterday, he was having a blast, a beautiful mostly downhill ride in Wyoming after some grueling days in the saddle. Miles hit a cattle crossing-nothing he hadn't done a thousand times before. But this time he went down. This morning, we said goodbye to a wonderful man, father, husband and friend. Our hearts are broken. Arrangements for bicoastal celebrations of his life will be made soon.”
