I finally got the call I've been waiting for--I am going to be on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire! This time I won't just be in the audience like in that picture--I get to be a contestant!
My tape date is August 11th, but I will keep the campaign going through the 31st.
The show has moved to Las Vegas, and with all that has happened in the past year, I do not have the money to make the trip.
I'm sure I can do this for less than my $2000 goal, but I had to pick a number for this...
Anything I don't spend on the trip will be donated to help racing Greyhounds live a nice retired life, so you may just be helping some wonderful dogs as well as me. If I win enough to get out of my current massive crushing debt (I should be able to do that), I will take from my winnings whatever I spent of the money raised and donate it to the cause. So it is possible every dollar raised will end up going to the dogs!

I know some of you may be thinking "why not just use the money won to pay for the trip", but there are two problems with that:
1. Let's say I get some crazy hard question and come back with not enough to pay for the trip.
2. I tape on 8/11/16, but I don't leave with any money won. That comes 30 days after the show airs. The show can air anytime from September through May of 2017. I could have this debt of the trip for nine months, and I can barely keep up with the debt I currently have.
Having watched the show every day, and I keep track of my statistics at every question level, I am confident in saying I have a 90% chance of coming away with enough for all money donated here to go t the dogs.
