The SSS Project
Selfless-Sincere-Serve is a non-profit project in the works, started by Noel Tarifi. It creates self esteem and opportunities for the less fortunate people in the neighboring cities of Pomona.
A moment of kindness, whether financial or social to another person, however large or small it might be, greatly affects a persons' day. The SSS project's goal is to not only be able to make the day of a homeless person but to truly understand their struggle and gain some insight of why and how they got into the lifestyle they're currently living in. If we are able to complete this objective not only will we be able to shed some light on this common world problem but we can single-handedly make someone look better, feel better, and do better.
All donations are accepted (No minimum- No Maximum)
I will go out to Pomona and other neighboring cities on the weekends. I will get to know random homeless people and record or write down their stories. Name, Age, Race, Family, Drug history, Alcohol history, how they became homeless, if its by choice, medical history, military history, and any other information they CHOOSE to volunteer. My objective is to get some real honest information so that way I can share some of these emotional stories to the world. Hopefully it will end some of these negative stereotypes regarding the less fortunate.
Your donation provides to the person chosen for the week:
1. A hotel room for the night.
2. A haircut or hairstyle.
3. A new outfit
4. Dinner out with me or any volunteer members of the project. (including you!)
5. If they own a cell phone (obama phone or other) A printed resume with their phone number, which will be posted on my Linkeden, this group page, and instagram page.
A before and after photo of the person chosen will be taken and posted, along with their story and photos from their SSS project day!
I understand that one day wont change their life significantly; however, sometimes a random act of kindness is all a person needs to be reminded that they are REAL and they MATTER.
If you do want to either help socially with either marketing or donations please do! I appreciate you and The SSS Project does too.
