Joshua's Howard Tuition Fund

Hello my name is Joshua N. Buford. I am an 18 year old rising college freshman, I am the youngest of 3 boys, and in August all of 3 of us will be in college. I graduated from Riverwood International Charter High School as a gifted magnet student, and I live in Atlanta, Ga. I am a very hardworking and dedicated student, very involved in my community as a Fulton County Youth Commissioner. I like to get things done on my own because I do not like borrowing or asking for handouts from other people, my parents say I was born independent.

I am asking for help now because I've exhausted all of my other options and this is my last stand. I was granted admission to Howard University in our Nation's Capital, and I am very excited to be attending this fall. My major is Political Science because I want my life’s work to have a lasting impact on the nation as a whole.  I see that happening through legislation and policy, therefore I want to be an attorney.

I am currently working at a temp agency for Macy’s warehouse, and I am looking for any donations possible. I would appreciate any donation to assist me with my goal of 10k, which is the remaining balance of my tuition for this semester. I am attempting to acquire these funds as soon as possible as the school year is swiftly approaching. This means the world to me because; I want to follow in my brothers footsteps, and my parents work super hard. I know that in today’s society education is the key to endless possibilities, and before I can impact anyone I have to be educated. This is about more than money to me, and hopefully there are some people out there who understand and would like to help me. Thank you so much to all of those who have considered helping and those who have actually helped, you are greatly appreciated.
