Please help save Leo, the pomchi!

Summary:
Leo, my pomchi dog, was attacked by two very large stray dogs on December 29, 2015. He will have to undergo 3 major surgeries to save his life. He will be treated for his possible spinal contusion, fractured ribs, punctured chest wall, and collapsed lung.

What Leo means to me:
Leo is the first dog I ever had in my life - my best friend who has changed my life in ways that no one has ever done before. For instance, my family and I were never close to one another; My parents were divorced, I was often "disciplined" by members in violent ways. We rarely spoke to one another let alone say 'I love you'. Thus, my family never expressed love, happiness in its truest form.. That was until I met Leo.

Although my mom was against me taking home Leo, which I did anyways without any regards to her permission. He made my family become closer to what a family truely means. My mom used to dislike him saying he was ugly, uncontrollable, and just a hindrance. But now she loves him to the extent where she calls him "con" in Vietnamese which means my child. From there, my dad and brother often came to visit and cherish my dog. In a sense, he was somehow bringing my family back together. Leo just has that ability to make people who don't love- simply love again. And I don't want to lose my dog - simply because of this hospital bill.

In conclusion, please help my dog any amount is generous for me. I just graduated from college - I don't have a lot of money, I'm about to go back to school where I will accumulate more debt, I don't have anything to pay anyone back. However, I do have love and gratitude for those that can help. Leo is a kind of source of happiness and love from within me, those that have seen him and played with him knows this. Therefore, please share this and help me.
