Guatemala Missions 2016!!!
Donation protected

I hope all is well with you! The reason I am writing you is to inform you of some exciting news! In December 2016, I will have the opportunity to participate with a team of diverse individuals from my church on a short term mission trip to Loma Del Viento, Guatemala. The dates of this trip will take place December 27-January 3. We are partnering with World Help and Hope for Life, who has been working in Loma Del Viento for quite some time. They will be providing us with translators and housing while we are there and assisting our team.
This opportunity is a blessing in disguise and I am super encouraged and excited about what the Lord will be doing in this area. Our team will be working with the community and helping them establish relationships with one another and with us. Guatemala has various needs due to its poor economic conditions. This particular village has no running water to accommodate its 500 residents. Once a week these people have to travel to gain access to water where they place it in a cement storage area. They use this water to use the restrooms, wash their hands, and drink. We will be going in and building a well. Through the partnership with World Help and of Lynchburg First Church of the Nazarene, our congregations will have raised over $20,000 for the land and for the well. I am very excited to go into Guatemala and show these individuals that not only do they have access to running water, but they can have access to living water through Jesus Christ. (John 4:14) We will also have the opportunity to work with the local children and providing them assistance in access to food, water and shelter.
Realizing that a trip of this type does not happen without the involvement of many individuals, I am asking you to consider how you might support me in this journey that God has called. The biggest way you can support me is through intimate prayer with the creator and through financial means. Ways you can pray might include, unity and safety for our team, boldness and relentlessness after the creator and for the purpose. That our team might be obedient. For the souls in Loma Del Viento, that they will be receptive and willing to grow and learn, and that God will change their lives. You can pray that God will radically transform our lives as well. If you would like to help support financially, your money will go to me in supporting costs for the trip. The trip cost is $2,500. The costs include travel, room& board, and supplies. Will you please consider joining our support team?
