My name is Tishynah Buffalo, I am 25 years old and from George Gordon First Nation,SK but I grew up in Alexander First Nation, AB.
I am a First Nation Fashion Designer, a wife and a mother of 2, ever since I was a young girl I always dreamed of being a fashion designer and showcasing my designs on the big stages such as NYC, Paris and LA. My designs consist of Traditional native print with a mix of modernized designs such as dresses, Pendleton coats and sweaters.
On October 24, 2015 I went to my first fashion show Fashion Speaks Regina and really enjoyed it and it made me want to design more and work harder at my dreams, since designing I've been to a number of fashion shows such as Walk To End Violence Fashion Show, Western Canada Fashion Week and Raw Artist: Reveal.
I was recently invited to show case my designs and represent Canada and My First Nation communities at an international fashion show New York City Couture Fashion Week which is taking place September 9-11, 2016.
I am raising money for fashion designer fees, travel and accommodations. I am very happy and blessed to have this opportunity to make one of my dreams come true.
