Hi! My name is Anna Byers and I have a dream. Last year, I had a very vivid dream that I had an English Bulldog named Bruce. In my dream, Bruce and I were very happy, and he loved to play. I would love to make this dream a reality.
I've talked to several breeders (since English bullies can have health problems related to breeding, I decided that was the best course of action if I want a healthy, happy bully) and most agree on the price for their puppies being anywhere between $850-$2500. Being a college Junior struggling to make money, with a schedule too full of pharmacy courses for me to get a part-time job, I decided to look to the internet for help.
If you, kind reader, decide to donate to a puppy and a girl's happy life together, here's how your the money will be used:
1. The price of adoption. As I mentioned above, most breeders I've communicated with have told me the price is anywhere between $850-$2500. ( I can also assure you that the breeders I have spoken to are certified members of the AKC and several English Bulldog breeding clubs, and are not puppy mills)
2. Neutering and shots. The cost of neutering a dog can be anywhere between $45-$135 for low-cost clinics and humane societies and $200-$300 for other clinics and animal hospitals, depending on the weight of the dog. The average cost for vaccinations are anywhere from $20-$150 in the first year, and $10-$100 every year after that. (pets.costhelper.com)
3. Food, Treats, a leash, and some toys and other doggy essentials. I've estimated about $100-$300 for these things.
As far as how soon the funs would be needed, it doesn't really matter. I'm willing to wait, while earning some money myself just incase this doesn't work.
