Peter and Dana left for a holiday this past week travelling west, the first one in over ten years. Dana while travelling, unexpectedly suffered a major stroke and underwent a number of surgeries at the Foothills hospital in Calgary.  Dana was so close to losing her life and her battle isn't over yet.  According  to Peter, if they would have been anywhere else she may not have survived, the staff and doctors were amazing!  Peter has been by her bedside since Wednesday in Calgary and we all know the expenses that will accumulate very quickly not to mention the many challenges ahead for her recovery. These  two have given so much to the City of Brandon, specifically the East End Community Centre, making sure that kids had a place to go with activities at no or little cost to them or their families, planted and fixed up the East End Gardens, painted the pool house and stalls, thousands of countless hours donating their time and their family's time to their communities (Souris, Brandon & area) and people in need. Now they need our help and anything would be appreciated to help them get through this difficult time. Please help with anything you can afford to donate $5, $10 or whatever you can to Dana & Peter.
