Mishkah's Road Trip across America!
Donation protected
My name is Halimah and I have been blessed with the amazing opportunity to travel, grow as a person and learn more through an organization named Mishkah that is hosting a Summer Revival educational Roadtrip Across America.
18 Days.
18 Unique Adventures.
6,000 Miles.
1 Epic Journey.
This a road trip tracing America’s history of artistic, spiritual, and political counterculture. This epic journey begins in Medina Ohio, through the skyscrapers of Chicago, goes down the winding streets of San Francisco, along the expanse of the Grand Canyon, and across the starlit deserts of New Mexico. Along the way, we will not only explore the stories of America’s revolutionary past, but we will experience the living legacy of that past by visiting the teachers, artists, storytellers, and activists who are carrying on that legacy today. We will experience the living history of Islam in America including the Inner City Muslim Action Network (IMAN) as it revives the legacies of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. in the streets of Chicago, Zaytuna College as it reinvigorates the essence of education in California, and Dar al Islam in New Mexico as it preserves the spirit of the Native Americans that once stood as caretakers of this sacred land. We will see the landscape of America through the eyes of its heroes and be inspired to carry the mantle of their work.
I desire nothing more in life than to be able to grow spiritually, and mentally as an individual and be able to translate that knowledge to do the work of serving my community in an effort to make this a better world for not only myself, people, and community today but for generations to come. Through this opportunity and trip God Willing I will be able to do just that, grow spiritually and mentally through knowledge and unique experiences and be possessed with that newfound inspiration to bring it back to my community.
If you find this cause to be important and valuable I would be so honored if you helped by donating to help me cover my travel expenses.
Whatever you can share in support is so so appreciated!
Thank you!
