Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo Memorial Fund

The purpose of this campaign is to honor the memory of Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo who always dreamed of having a place where people could study the Bible and share their faith. His parish, St. Catherine of Sienna in Franklin Square, New York, is in the process of creating such a room and has plans to dedicate this special place to Dr. Ciuffo. Many people have asked if there was a charity that they could donate to in his honor. We know that he would have liked nothing more than for us to help his parish, just as he always did. The plan is to create a beautiful room with stained glass windows where parishioners could attend Bible Study Classes. If you would like to honor the memory of Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo, please donate to this memorial fund. All proceeds will go directly to St. Catherine of Sienna for this special project.
Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo was a humble man from a simple Brooklyn background. He worked hard all his life with an unwavering work ethic. Most people knew him as one of the architects of M & V Provisions. He spent 53 years of his life waking up in the middle of the night and tirelessly giving that business every ounce of his energy. He was tough, he was demanding, but most of all, he was fair. He truly was one of a kind. He taught many people that anything is possible as long as you were willing to try. He had a passion to serve others that you simply do not see in the average person today.
This passion spilled over into his love for Jesus and the church. Tony was a mainstay at St. Catherine of Sienna. He was a Eucharistic Minister, but he also took the Eucharist to the homebound and to those in the hospital. He was a lector, a member of the Parish Council, and a man who could be called upon to do anything, at any time to serve the Lord. One thing that he loved to do was to purchase boxes and boxes full of Bibles and rosary beads and hand them out at church on the first Sunday of every month to anyone who wanted them. Like he said so many times on his radio show entitled "Listen Up, Jesus is on the Air", he was there to evangelize for Jesus and he truly loved what he did.
It is our hope that through this Memorial Fund, Dr. Anthony F. Ciuffo's spirit and love for Jesus will live on forever.
