Clean Water Access in The Gambia
Donation protected
Everyday people in Africa struggle to access clean water for drinking and cooking. Women and children more so are the ones who fetch water for their families and must walk long distances balancing jugs of water on their heads to bring clean water back to their homes. Having built an education center in the a remote community of Duto Koto, The Gambia, we strive to bring access to more clean water closer to the communities' education center where people come to learn about sustainable agriculture and deforestation mitigation. This project strives to also work with local women's groups to work on nutrition, empowerment, and skills building. Having an additional source of clean water for the community is a small investment for donors but a large financial burden on local subsistence farmers who work hard and struggle to bring what they need to sustain their families. Lets show our support for those who need the help the most.
