The Miller Family was rocked with the most devastating news it could imagine.  7 Year Old Braden (buddy), has been diagnosed with DPIG, a rare cancer in the brain which is inoperable.  Treatment options are being reviewed, while radiation tretment at U of M Ann Arbor begins shortly. on Monday.  The Miller Family are firm believers in the power of prayer ... their family is begging for prayers.

Please donate to support Braden and his family.
Thank you.

Absolutely amazing, again. We have been blessed with another awesome day with more fantastic news!! Dr. Garcia was very happy. There is NO sign of that stupid tumor, praise God. We expect this news as this is what we have asked for but, it still seems so surreal at times, we ask the same questions over and over and over again to confirm the wonderful news. This is definitely something you do not want to misunderstand. Dr. Garcia confirmed it ALL!! This was by far the BEST Buddy has done prior to, during, and after treatment. I made a video, just little glimpses of what a treatment day is like. This is just a few minutes of a 9 hour day.
**We are asking for more prayers for tomorrow's PET scan results. I do not want to jump the gun, when I receive the miracle that the PET scan is also clear and cancer free I will share the treatment plan going forward.

I can't thank you all enough for sharing in our journey and loving my Buddy Boy. This is what your prayers and donations have done.

Certain "things" bother me more than others. One that really gets me is my son saying, "What time do I have CHEMO today?" "I can eat after they draw my blood when I get my CHEMO right?" It's that word "Chemo" that really hits home and hearing my child talk about himself getting it is a hard hit of reality and makes me sick to my stomach. If only I could change things, take a different turn in this thing called life. But, I can't so we make the best of the situation. Today Buddy and I had a lot of fun being silly during chemo. His smile and laugh is so contagious and lifts my spirits whenever I feel down. Tonight he was playing wii sports with his dad, as you can see in the video he was pretty excited with his eagle shot . This amazing kid deserves a fair shot. He deserves to go to school, play sports, hang out with friends and most importantly to live a long life. YOU are playing a crucial part in making that a possibility for him. Friday is treatment day. It's our last $33,000 procedure, for now. We are still working towards having enough money. Our youcaring page is "flagged" on the top of this page if you are able to financially help us. I can't thank you enough for all your support up to this point. My awesome, encouraging posts about how well he is doing wouldn't be possible without YOU. YOU are saving my son's life!!

Buddy update:

Today is the first low chemo drip. Once again I am a ball full of emotions. I sit here and look at my son hooked up to chemo. Part of me feels sick, so sad my son has to go through and that we are literally fighting for his life. He is 8! . I quickly jump to the other side and realize how lucky we are to be here. This treatment is an option for us provided by the grace of God and our army of supporters, all of you. His actual procedure is Friday to the tune of $33,000. We do not have nearly enough money as of now but, I have strong faith between the good Lord above and all of our supporters we will not be left to fall. Someone brought it to my attention if each of of our Team Buddy followers donated $10 per month we would have OVER the amount needed. It takes about 2 minutes to donate, so I am going to start a TTT day. Ten dollars, Two minutes, Thursday. Could you sacrifice a couple Tim Horton coffees or a trip to McDonalds if it was to SAVE a child's life!?! I hate that it has come to this. I hate I have to ask but I HAVE to!! Losing is NOT an option. I have had to watch MANY children lose their fight that were diagnosed AFTER Buddy. Its awful. It's heart wrenching, I feel so broken for them, I CAN'T imagine. My goal is to save my son and provide hope to the children fighting. Will join me? Awareness is crucial for funding we need more than 4%. Please share.

Thank you for your continued love and support. Team Buddy loves you all

Buddy update: We flew home Tuesday, 4 days after the last treatment. Unfortunately, at that time Buddy was struggling to recover. We were very concerned and scared as the first two treatments he bounced right back. This continued, day 5, day 6, day 7...the days were long, the worry continued. Day 8 we were just beside ourselves on what to do. Is there something else going on? Is this progression? Is the treatment to much for his little body? Are we making the right decisions for him? He was sleeping a lot, so much I would go in and watch for his chest moving, I would feel his face for warmth. What a disheartening way to live. He was pale with a blue tint to his lips, he wanted to do nothing. This after he had regained his energy and appetite right after the 2nd treatment. We were over joyed to see him so full of life. Then we received the news about his awesome MRI results, again we were relieved, and very comfortable and confident in the treatment and his well being. But, these days we had doubt. Day 9, day 10 we were spinning with concern, our plan was to contact the doctors in Mexico. Today, day 11 just in the nick of time, he woke up, BACK, happy, laughing, eating, playing with the sisters, the dogs. Oh the joy my heart felt. My shoulders are no longer up to my ears tense. My teeth were no longer clinched together, and the egg shells I was walking on no longer hurt. I am relieved, grateful and thankful. I just sat and listened to his voice and laugh, I embraced it, embedding the sounds in my head. As of right NOW he his cracking up with Sis and her friend. Thank you Heavenly Father for this day. We were able to spend time together as family putt-putting and going out to lunch before dad goes back to work tomorrow. We are pretty sad and will miss him but financially it is a must. He will still be able to take time off for treatments.
Tomorrow is never promised, live for TODAY!

Thank you for your continued love and support!
