The Take Action Show

The Chicago comedy community is beside itself with the recent injustices of Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, the Dallas killing of police officers, and all of those tragedies involving our broken law enforcement system that came before this. We walk, we protest, we speak out, "not one more". We realize as artists, we have a platform and it is time to use it. Quoting Nina Simone, “As artist’s duty is to effect the times”. As artists we play by a lot of people’s rules, Hollywood, the industry, but we do so for our own agenda because we understand how to play the game. However, when we see our community break down around us, we must use our platform in order to bring voices that are normally not heard UP to be heard, we must break those rules in order to rise up.
Our purpose is to take part in our community. Once we have actionable steps we can begin to create some noise, through noise comes change.  At The Action Now Show, there will be no censorship, you will hear us in our truest form. And once we speak, we will have actionable ways in which to to follow through on our word and affect the world around us.

We will be performing a show at The Playground Theater in Chicago on July 13th at 10pm. This page is for those who cannot attend but would like to stand and take action with us. The proceeds of the show and this page will be to raise money for the following organizations. These are organizations are dedicated to making changes to our fractured system, rallying for legislation and policies that will reform our current law enforcement. They also help the families of victims deal with the trauma that accompanies such tragedy. Join us in taking action. 

All of the proceeds of this page and of The Action Show will be split evenly between these two organizations found below:
