DC Cyclist Hit & Run Burial Fund

Donation protected
On June 23, 2016, DC Cyclist, J. Robert Elliott, was killed in a hit & run on Minnesota Avenue @ Burns Street.  Devastated family did not learn of his death until days later, after filing a Missing Persons report when he did not report to scheduled events.  His mother, aunt, sister and devastated friends and extended families are seeking answers and collecting funds to cover his burial and funeral expenses.  In addition to being a DC Cyclist, Mr. Elliott had graduated from a DC High School and attended college.  As a child, he was a member of the Young Marines, the Ft. Dupont Ice Arena's youth team and the MPD/DC Police teen Jr. Police Academy.  The news of his death has completely shattered his family.  If you have any information on this accident, please text DC Police at 50-411 or call (202) [phone redacted].  Thank you for any assistance you can provide to this family.  Mr. Elliott was 23 years old, with a bright future.  He was a man with a plan.  #GoneTooSoon

Note: Fellow Cyclists have left a Ghost Bike at the corner of Minnesota Avenue & Burns Street.
