 SUN CITY, AZ
Cailee is getting ready to turn 8 in just a couple of weeks. At 2 years old she was diagnosed with a very rare genetic retinal disease called FEVR. Unfortunately, there is no cure, no treatment and in time may leave Cailee blind. Over the past few years, her vision has progressively worsened and her diseased has caused complications and vision loss. Cailee has endured 5 surgeries in her little time here already. She is a true fighter and an inspiration to so many!
At 3 Cailee started early intervention and began learning how to use a cane with an orientation and mobility instructor. At 4, Cailee began learning Braille and has loved learning the tactile side of life!
We have realized through her struggles and in our conversations with the Doctors and Specialist how important her memory recognition is and will be in her future. For this reason we have created **CAILEE'S SIGHTSEEING BUCKET LIST**

We are building Cailee's memory bank with as many activities as we can before she loses any more vision. I was fortunate enough to have a very special friend who lost her vision recently explain to me that "it's not dark, because of her memories her brain recalls images and I 'see' quite well".... This made me even more determined to give her as many experiences and make as many memories as possible. One place every princess deserves to go explore is Disneyland, Cailee has been dreaming of meeting Bell and Snow White!

Catrina Frost, Cailee's mother, from Phoenix Arizona plans to use the generous donations to give Cailee the experices of a lifetime through day trips, vacations, special events, classes and opportunities to ensure Cailee will have the memories  she can take with her forever!
Candice Frost, Cailee's Grandmother is dedicated to overseeing the GoFundMe Campaign and pass any messages on to Catrina.

Thank you for your support, love, encouarging words!

Cailee started 3rd grade at a new school and is doing well so far. We have another follow up with her retinal specialist next month to check in on her retinal bleed that left her blind in her left eye last spring.
Her amazing attitude and can do spirit has gotten her through so much...
Over the summer Cailee did a ton of swimming with her brothers, attended the Lake Pleasant Lantern Festival, went camping in Big Bear, made several trips to the beach in California and the biggest news is met her partner in crime Arthur.
Arthur is a standard poodle and training to be Cailee’s service animal. He came to live with us at 4 months and has bonded with her so sweetly! It’s truly amazing to watch these two work together!

We just returned from California for a second trip to see Dr Nudleman at the Shiely Eye Institute. The good news is that the fluid behind her retina has gone down and the blood that has filled her entire eye has begun to be absorbed. Still no sign of retinal detachment! Bad news is that she is still blind in her left eye. We will return in 6 weeks to check again. We are trying to avoid surgery! We decided to really rev up the sight seeing bucket list again and get going this summer! This girl only has one “good” eye left at the moment and so much to see!! Thank you for all your support and love! Stay tuned for our updates and adventures

A flower farm would be so much fun for a little lady! And any national monument/memorial would be great. Even a day looking up some pictures so she can remember them as she's going through school while everyone is learning about them.

A friend's parents did this for her prior to losing her sight due to Type 1 Diabetes. Those images and vibrant colors forever imprinted. She lost her sight at 20 and is now 58, still grateful for all understanding those travels afforded her. Deeply grateful that Cailee has such a beautiful Mom and Grandmother. xo
