Restore Nick's Vandalised Bench

Nick's bench was set up by the family and friends of Nick Webb, who loved Deal. They wanted to honour his memory while also doing something useful for the community.
When vandals destroy a bench they are not just upsetting the family of someone who has died, they are also striking at our community values.
So we are going to raise the money to get that bench repaired and re-installed. Perhaps the people who broke it up would like to contribute?
By now they may have reflected that the next bench that gets damaged may bear the name of someone they loved.
After reading about the bench on Social Media Deal Watch site, it deeply upset me as I also have a bench in memory of a beautiful person and seeing how many others were disgusted by the actions, I decided to liaise with the council and a lady called Carol who originally fundraised for the bench and offer to set up this page so we could all help bring Nick.s bench back to it's glory.
I know the family and friends of Nick Webb will be so grateful for us coming together as a community.
