* Above is the link to my story as a martial artist and my life experiences with Cerebral Palsy.
At the age of one and a half I was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Soon after my diagnosis I had a surgical procedure done to increase my chances of walking and living a relativley normal life. Growing up I was constantly bullied for the way I walked, ran, and did daily activities. The constant bullying lead to me doubting myself in everything I did and having low self esteem. I joined Taekwondo at the age of nine to help improve my quality of life and to help boost my confidence. Nine years later at the age of eighteen I'm now a second degree blackbelt who just recently earned a spot on the 2016 USA para national team. I'm currently the first and only para Taekwondo female athlete for the United States and I'm ranked number one in the world in my respective division. Along with this title comes the responsibility to represent the United States in different countries at diffrent para international tournaments. I will be using the money raised to cover the expenses of flights, registration fees, coaching fees, and room & board. My ultimate goal is to compete at the first ever Paralympics for Taekwondo in 2020. Please contribute to my tournamnet fund so I can keep making history and one day represent the United States at the Paralympics as well as all the international tournaments I will need to participate in to qualify for the Paralympics. Any amount is greatly appreciated, thank you!
