Ruby’s Food Truck

Donation protected

On November 11, 2014 was the year we started our food truck business. Within the year people fell in love with our Mexican food and within the year we had a lot of regulars. We have been in the business for about 3 years now coming up to our 4th year.

Since my dad saw his first food truck the year he went to San Francisco he never stopped talking about it. Next thing you know we became owners. We build everything from scratch. And trust me it was not easy and definitely not inexpensive. It took us 6 months to built it up. But it was all worth it. When people raved about our food and keep coming back it motivated us. I was so happy that I was helping my dad fulfill his dream. Maybe really soon we had a chance to buy our brick and motor.

On Sunday, June 17, around 5:02 p.m. you can see through surveillance cameras that a couple was able to successfully steal our food truck in seconds.
It was found by Phoenix police department the following Tuesday and was towed. After locating our food truck we were devastated to see that all of our equipm was stolen. Everything from the stoves, the fridges, all of our dishes and inventory. Everything.
Me and my family worked so hard to pay off the equipment and most recently had finished paying it off and now we are left on square one.

This was my dad’s dream to build his food truck, to make good homemade food and to eventually buy himself a restaurant. But now we face this hard obstacle.
We are determined to not let this setback keep us from pursuing my dad’s dream. We are willing to rebuild the truck again no matter how much time passes.

For anyone who finds it in their heart to help us rebuild our food truck I will appreciate it forever. If you can’t donate then please help by sharing. Anything helps. Again I appreciate to everyone who has helped me and my family through this ordeal. I will never forget it.

The link below shows the footage captured by security cameras the night our food truck was stolen.
