**** We have updated the total amount to try to cover the additional EMS bill which has come in at over $7,000 and the budgeted amount was between $3,500-$4,00 and to offset some of the GoFundMe Fees which is over $3,500. I know everyone is fighting so hard to raise the funds for the Rally. I wanted you all to know why the total was upped slightly.
My name is Jason Hayes and after Orlando, I was unable to sit idle any longer. Changing my facebook pic wasnt changing anything. I knew I had to do something to Disarm Hate.
I am organizing a Rally in Washington, DC on August 13th @11am to protest for LGBTQA Equal Rights and Realistic Gun Law reform in this country now.
We cannot wait any longer. We must stand up and make our voices heard. Our Politicians have failed us. Our sense of safety in the most basic of places has been shattered.
EVERY PENNY donated will be used to cover the costs for the Rally in DC. A full accounting of donations and expenses paid to organize the Rally will be posted on the wesbite at www.DISARMHATE2016.com. We need your help now.
Any funds we are blessed to have left over at the end of the Rally will be donated to one or several 501c3 organizations associated with LGBTQ Rights & Gun Violence Prevention.
