How're ye all there now.
This Summer I am trying to walk from St Gallen (where I live) to Dublin (where I supposedly 'grew up'). The route I've chosen is approximately 1200Km.
I might not make it in the time I have available but thought I might try to raise a few quid for charity while I'm at it.
I intend to give all Irish donations to homeless charities and any from the UK to Cystic Fibrosis charities/research. (I'm unsure of exactly which ones yet but suggestions are welcome).
I've never used a website like this so please excuse the lack of finesse. You'll also just have to trust me not to run maniacly into the hills with all my ill-gotten gains (actually, you're pretty safe, I'm incapable of running).
As failure is a distinct possibility, rather than setting an unrealistic target I thought it might be an idea to suggest mabye sponsoring 1 cent or 1 penny (Post Brexit that should probably be closer to £20 ;) )for every kilometer I actually do. That way, even if I don't make it, the side wouldn't be let down too much.
You can track my progress on this blog (http://howareyeealltherenow.blogspot.ch)
which I will try to update as best I can once I have electricity and internet access (might be a bit sporadic).
Cheers very much, Paul.
