Wards Farm Rejuvenation Project

For those of us that were lucky enough to call Bev and Kevin Ward's house our second home it was a place to spend as much time as you possibly could there during the school holidays, to have this couple as a huge part of your life whether that be as family or friends, those people that understand how amazing this couple is and how they have constantly changed peoples lives not expecting anything in return.

WE NEED YOUR HELP. In January 2014 Bev and Kevin’s lives changed forever. Bev was starting the loader to feed to horses one afternoon. She was standing in front of the tire to start the engine as she had done 1000 times before, however for some reason the loader had been left in gear. The loader started and lunged forward, running over Bev and crushing her pelvis. Bev spent months in hospital and Shenton Park Rehabilitation Center learning to walk again. She had to go into surgery every 3 days for her wounds to be drained and cleaned. By the end of 2014 Bev was able to move back to the farm and travelled around on an electric scooter. It is now 2016 and Bev can now walk again and is hoping to be able to ride a horse again one day. Bev is still recovering today but she continues to welcome us and many others into her home. Kevin has been very strong and supportive throughout their ordeal taking care of the farm, horses and other animals we all love, as best he can.

However, their last couple of years have been very trying. Bev missed out on her son’s wedding and they both had to make many trips to and from Perth which can be difficult with a farm to manage. She also has been unable to hold her riding camps since her accident. They love their property but they haven’t been able to maintain the upkeep nearly as well as they used to.

That's where you come in....

An amazing group filled with friends and family have come together and decided it is now our turn to give back to the beautiful couple and have organised to get together at the end of November 2016 to complete some rovations on Bev and Kevins family farm house. As these things unfortantley cost money, we're reaching out to all of those they want to give back to Bev and Kevin by making dontaions (small or big) to help us give back!
