Today my beloved 16 year old nephew, Paris Gustin, had his life taken from him in sensless and unneccesary manner. He had just turned 16 exactly one month prior to his passing. He was a kind young man with a bright future. He had dreams and goals, and they were stripped from him. They were stripped from his mother and his family as well, as we will never see him acheive those goals. He was a very important and very loved member of our family and we are all devastated. I am Paris's aunt and his mother Ashley is my sister.
Ashley and Paris had a relationship that was envied by all who knew them. They weren't just mother and son, they were BEST FRIENDS. Everything she did, she did for him. Paris watched over and protected his mother always, he also did the same for his grandmother. Paris was an amazing young man with an infectious, beautiful smile that lit up the room. He loved to play football, work on his car and spend time with his family, his girlfriend and friends. He loved those who were close to him with all his heart. He will be dearly missed by many.
No mother should have to lay her child to rest, let alone to a horrible tragedy. He and his friends were out being kids and a dangerous and horrible person thought that he had the right to take his life from him, to take his life from his family, to take his life from those who loved him. We are praying for his killer to be found quickly and for immediate justice!
My family and I set up this page to help my sister, during what will be the hardest time of her life. She will be out of work for a while as she learns to live her life without her only child. She will have funeral and burial expenses as well as her normal expenses. Anything you can do to help Ashley during this time will be greatly appreciated by our family and Ashley, but most of all, I know her son Paris would appreciate knowing that his mother is able to greive without the stress of finances looming over her.
