Javier's Medivac Fund

Javier (on the right) was involved in a motorcycle accident in Bali on Friday September 9. Javi was found in a rice field by a friend after calling from his mobile, despite being in an excruciating amount of pain. The accident has left him with 7 broken ribs and 3 crushed vertebrae. His ribs require plates and pins to reconstruct them and a spinal surgeon is still assessing the extent of the damage and how his vertebrae will be treated and if he can even be flown back to Australia for treatment.

Javi is a good person. From the moment I met him I realised he was a down to earth, hardworking and honest man. When he's not working as a self employed painter, he is pursuing his true passion of surfing . The doctors say that the minimum turn around from a spinal injury is at least 12 months during which he will have to undertake intensive rehabilitation.

Our fund raising target is to get him home because his insurance won't cover him. To avoid any permanent damage we are hoping to get him the best treatment possible.

We would like to raise the money as soon as possible because right now Javier (or as they are calling him in Bali, Savier) is laying in a hospital bed without proper treatment and the only way he can recieve the treatment he needs is by returning to Australia.

Javi is a caring, loving and honest father/parther/friend and this would mean the world to us to get him home.  So please, help us, help him.
