Clean Sweep Pburg Legal Fund Drive
Petersburg Virginia is a small Virginia city known for its rich and varied history. The city and its people have played important roles in over three centuries of the American experience: the Revolutionary War (18th century); the Civil War (19th century); and the civil rights movement (20th century). The 21st century brings a new set of challenges.
Petersburg is at risk of dying from within as a viable city – and our government seems incapable or unwilling to fight this decline. While we work to change leadership via the ballot box and petition, we face immediate issues requiring expertise beyond what our dedicated volunteers can provide.
Your contributions to this legal defense fund, sponsored by Clean Sweep Petersburg (a 501c4 organization), will support efforts to counter under-the-table deals and threats to civil liberties – which have been preferred methods of some of our city council representatives.
We are focused on improving effective governance of the city of Petersburg, so that it conducts the public’s business with compassion and integrity, for the benefit of all citizens.
Please join us for a meeting on the legal efforts made -- Friday Oct 8 6p Walnut Hill Elementary Auditorium.
Have you seen enough to make them stop?
Please ask me if you have not seen the letter to council by our attorney outlining the many open government violations. The CA and our Wyatt Durrette are scheduling a meeting. As I have stated before, competent counsel is very expensive, please donate. If all of the members would donate $5 or $10 we would be fine!
