In all my years of working with kids I always knew that losing one of them would be the hardest to endure. Today we lost, USN Petty Officer 3rd Class ABF Johnathon Christopher Duran. From an early age he was an "old soul" with a sharp sense of humor and a solid grasp on right and wrong. I am grateful to have known him and that we stayed in touch through the years. My only regret is that I should have done more to protect him.

Johnathon was an Eagle Scout, dedicated to serving his community and his country and he is gone way too soon.

I am asking for help in supporting his family. All of the money donated will go to his mom to help cover travel to Virgina and any expenses related to his service.
