Sam's Road to Recovery

On May 7 Sam and a friend of his, Jeff were victims of a hit and run while skateboarding on Meeting Street in down town Charleston. Both were severely injured and were taken to MUSC by ambulance. Jeff sustained a broken leg and road rash and Sam got a fractured skull, brain bleed, and severely cut elbow resulting in 20 stitches and spent a couple of days in ICU. As a result he has almost complete hearing loss in his left ear that will only be somewhat corrected with surgery or a hearing aid. He has also loss his sense of smell, and sense of taste and is suffering from severe vertigo. Any little amount of money that you are able to donate will be greatly appreciated as Sam does not have insurance.
